THAI MASSAGE

IMGL0179 2.jpeg

Traditional Thai Massage or “Nuad-Bo-Rarn” is one of the world’s oldest healing modalities. Originating in India over 2,500 years ago, the technique spread with Buddhism across Asia. For centuries in Southeast Asia, it was performed by monks as one element of traditional Thai medicine. Thai Massage combines the application of pressure (produced with hands, thumbs, elbows, forearms, feet and knees) with manipulation, adjustment and muscle stretching to improve overall health and well-being.

Traditional Thai medicine is a natural, holistic approach to health and well-being, developed over thousands of years, which includes proper nutrition, physical exercise, the use of medicinal herbs and therapeutic massage. Traditional Thai medicine values compassion and spiritual health, as the Thai people believe that “the absence of illness is the best blessing.”  The applied medical knowledge developed by Thai people through many generations is part of the ancient wisdom of Thailand.
